DIY LED GROW TENT

Plants not grown in tent

This blue light is Actinic 420nm better than LED
450-460nm has lower 'response' on graph. 420nm is near peak.
They do not use royal blue '420nm led' because cost/availability.
Use one of these for every two Walmart Aquarium or two regular FL
instead of LEDs or supplement LEDs with it

Other side has more full spectrum FL not sure which type works best.

Nute Notes

Making sense of roots and nutes!

Cuttings:
Serenade 2 teaspoons per quart to the misting bottle
keep fungi from developing on the cuttings.

When roots:
Rhizotonic when roots 15ml per gal

Cloning solution:
Clonex (liquid), Superthrive and Hygrozyme
Green Light Rooting Hormone available from Lowes

Cutting lighting: 18 on / 6 off

PH Buffering:
Advanced Nutes Barricade
.1ml/gl Barricade to buffer the ph back up to 5.6.

Mad Farmer organic Ph buffers

DWC
7.0ph, 1230ppm, all tap, okay

DWC down low doing well
7.5ph, 700ppm

EBB
4ph, all RO, bad, wrinkle, yellow, stunt for a week, stems got thicker

Nute
.75oz to .4 ro and .6 tap = 6.0ph
3.5 gal tap, 2 gal ro, 4oz pro gro, 6.2ph,1420ppm

Notes based on House and Garden:
In veg use seaweed but not in bloom
In bloom use bacteria and mycro in first phase
In bloom use carbos the second phase
In bloom use high P ripining supplement last 3 weeks

Notes based on Cutting Edge:
Calcium supplement both veg and bloom
Sugars both veg and bloom
Almost triple the magnesium in bloom as veg
Constant higher P through bloom with no mention of P boosters

Aqua Flakes A&B all but calcium.
Which bottles have calcium?

Veg: Algen and Roots Excelurator, Magic Green foiler
Guess: Calcium is in Algen

Blm:
Weeks 1-4 Roots Excelurator, stop Mycrrhizal 2nd half flowering
Weeks 1-3 Multizyme (maybe is like GH Subculture B) maybe calcium
Weeks 4-8 Bud XL (carbo source) maybe calcium
Week 5 for 3 days Top Booster. Must have other ingredient for 'optical drought'
- why not just turn lights off for an optical drought
- what is the other ingredients besides P and K?
Weeks 6-8 Shooting Powder (ripining 2nd half reproductive stage high P supplement)

Mycorrhizal Root Inoculant
RESULTS: Builds strong root systems
Greatly increases root mass to enhance growth and yield
Helps plants absorb nutrients and water more efficiently
USE from germination or propagation all the way through harvest

Bacterial Root Inoculant
RESULTS:
Root systems will increase, as well as nutrient absorption;
bigger, healthier plants.
HOW:
Selected microbes are cultured to live in high salt environments
Biologically aids nutrient absorption
bacteria and trichoderma fungi colonize the root zone and media to form a symbiotic

relationship with your plants.
Bacillus, Streptomycetes, Actinomycetes, Psuedomonas and Trichoderma fungi colonize in

the root zone, and media, to form a symbiotic relationship with the plant. These

organisms secrete natural growth hormones and enhancers that are available to the plant

through the root zone. SubCulture means robust healthy plants with strong, healthy root

systems that are resistant to environmental stresses.
USE: After germination and propagation

Napthalene Acetic Acid - Napthalene Acetic Acid can significantly increase the number,

length and dry weight of root hairs, small roots an

Hygrozyme Root - Mycorrhical or bacterial?

Nute Recipes

These are clips taken off the net and are being researched and cleaned up.
Any suggestions let me know.

HYDRO NUTE RECIPES:

Lucas with GH Flora 0-8-16

PBP can also be made to approximate similar NPKMg values, for example
PBPBloom @ 15ml/gal plus 5ml/gal Cal Mag..,

Flora Nova Bloom 8ml/gal

House Garden H&G
Weeks 1-3 I use A&B, Roots, Multi, and Drip Clean.
I do not use Top Booster too often anymore, as timing is very criticle with that product, and if used at the wrong time I have noticed a decrease in my overall yeild. Top Booster basically tricks the plant into thinking its in a drought, and therefore stimulates flower growth sooner. With the right timing it can do great things, but there are certain varieties that don't respond well to it.
Starting week 4, you no longer use Roots, or Multi. You still use the A&B, but add Bud XL to the mix. The last 3 days of week 3 or week 4 would be the time to add the Top Booster if you did use the product. But you do not want to run it any longer then 3 days in your rez.
Weeks 5,6,and 7 (if its an 8 week strain) I use A&B, Bud XL, and Shooting Powder (at 1 sachet for every 25 gallons). I also cut my A&B back when I add the shooting powder, and sometimes cut the A&B out completly in week 7.
Week 8 is flushed with plain water only untill harvest time comes.

GH:
I got 1.1/watt last round even the bottom stuff that wasn't getting much light was dense there was no popcorn last round. I have a custom h&g regiment from tried and true experiments from old school farmers. Bcuzz blossoming tabzz are the exact same thing as the shooting powder, and its cheaper, bcuzz worked out some deal with house and garden. I'm on ebb and flow tables. I don't use aqua flakes or a and b, rather I use bloom and micro of gh with, top booster at day 26 for 5 days at 5ml, bud xl after that at 5 ml for the next three weeks. Week 5 I start tabz at 1 tab/25 gallons of water, the last week I double up the tabz with no food period. I run hygrozyme and compost tea through out the whole run. Talk shit about gh if you want but 1.1 per watt speaks for it self. But I never did this good with out all of the additives. I also use diamond nectar till day 21 of bloom. I don't use air stones.

earth juice natural ph up

I use GH flora series, the Lucas Formula(8ml micro/16ml bloom per gal distilled water),
omitting the gro part entirely and Snow White loves it...
I keep the ph at 5-5-5.8 and the ppm at about 800...I used the kool bloom years ago and it
seemed a bit strong, be careful with that stuff...

---

i use 15 ml/gallon of PBP Bloom for hydro along with 5ml/gallon of Cal-Mag+ and then add back at half strength at 21 days into 12/12....you shouldn't have to chase pH very little if any.

i like some Liquid Karma in there too....maybe it's psychological but it has a richer flavor to me when i use it.

---

Floranova use 8ml per gal and it is like using lucas formula

---

cloning first i use one drop of superthrive per litre of water and ph adjust to about 5.5 and soak medium im using wjether its jiffys, rockwool starter cubes or whatever.

vegging i use formulex to aid rapid rooting into bigger rockwool cubes or just to speed up root formation.

once established roots i then use just plain canna vega for whatever medium im using.

flowering-this is the good part

canna a and b flores
dutch master max flower
advanced nutrients CARBO LOAD-(I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS STUFF ENOUGH AWESOME BUD DEVELOPMENT FOR WHATS GOT TO BE THE CHEAPEST NUTRIENT ADDITIVE ON THE MARKET)
canna pk 13/14 used at start of week 4 of flowering
advanced nutrients 'overdrive' is only used in last couple of weeks of flowering.

AS A PREVENTATAIVE MEASURE AS IM NOW FULLY HYDROPONIC I USE AGAIN WHATS GOTTA BE BEST STUFF ON MARKET GROWTHMASTA 'MICROBIAL' USE TO PREVENT PYTHIUM OR IF YOU HAVE PYTHIUM USE AT DOUBLE THE DOSE UNTIL CURED WHICH IT WILL DO FAST.

---
i've had 100% success with GH flora 'lucas formula' plus 'floralicious plus'. the latter brings much of the organic element to the plant, better favor, high essential oil production, massive trich production, vitalness against disease ect... much of what the OG growers complain about hydro is compensated for by doing flushes with the EA & EN innoculant, which brings the microbiology to the root system, and 'floralicious plus', which brings the fulvic acids, plant, marine and mineral elements. the "organic" elements. GH flora IS essentially organic, tho not by babylon standard which reflects a whole different agenda than intended when the organic movement was initiated. Floralicious plus IS organic, unrefined and very beneficial to cannabis.

Ive used the OregonismXl and could not believe the size of my root ball. I

UVA UVB NM INFO

Low UVA/Regular UVB induces the production of flavonoid glycosides
do not go high uva it destroys what uvb makes
some uva makes a little more than no uva

In the USA the range accepted is UVA 400-320nm UVB 320-290nm UVC 290-200nm

In Europe the range accepted is UVA 400-315nm UVB 315-290nm UVC 290-200nm

The initial vegetative stage requires blue spectrum (430-466 nm) of light. The Blue light simulates the Endless Summer Effect as stimulate growth and Greening.

The later 'flowering' stage should be done with red spectrums (662-680 nm). The Red light is to stimulate flowering, seeding and fruiting.

LED VS. HPS, HID, MH, FL

Are people who do not understand science purchasing lights from people who do not understand graphs?

This has been proposed to us lets examine this is it a busted myth or is it true?

Lets examine graphs from scientific research which relate growth rate to various colors of light.
NONE AVAILABLE

Lets examine graphs from scientific research which relate photosynthetic related responses to various colors of light. A FEW ARE AVAILABLE

Logically based on this information alone there is no data to show that following the graphs relates to faster growth rate. To test this a side by side test is done. The stand alone tests and side by side tests on Youtube do not look promising at this time for LED.

Last year LED was still putting out less energy than FL per watt. If the spectrum is not directly related to growth then it is the LED which is wasting energy.

Truth is found in side by side scientific comparisons. If you do not see this and make a purchase you are part of the scientific method in that you are being used to grow plants side by side vs. the industry properly testing it for you.

What nm (nanometer) wavelengths you see.

NM that makes a certain fuels in the plant.

They did not test for which light colors make faster cell division.

They did not test for which light colors give you faster growth rates.

The best example is an independent test showing green alone does not work well which is being falsely interpreted that green is not necessary.

Yet no graphs for how fast it grows under different colors.
